Mount Teide is an active volcano located on the island of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands, Spain. Standing at 3,718 meters (12,198 feet), it is the highest peak in Spain and the third highest volcano in the world when measured from its base on the ocean floor. Mount Teide is surrounded by the Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its dramatic landscapes, unique rock formations, and diverse ecosystems.
